Hello again Birthday!

It's my birthday!!

I suppose 28 would be a NAY for me, (especially to think about it 4 years ago),
but Alhamdulillah, life is good. So that would be a YAY!
New York isn't happening now, but we're taking our butts there next year and gettin' ourselves an education, NY style! Amien.

Now, i'm going back to my studio and getting it all done for FashionRocks.

Will update u some more birthday pics later on tonite.

Eat.Pray.Love

As soonest i read the first pages of the book, i'm instantly drowned into the desperation world of Elizabeth Gilbert. But at the same time, i'm completely in love with it. Eat.Pray.Love tells you the story of a woman's journey to happiness, all the way from her home in New York, she went on a cultural festivities in Italy, India and Bali-Indonesia. (yes to be noted, Bali is in Indonesia, again, it's a beautiful island in Indonesia). Gyaah! Sorry about that, since so many people don't know about Bali as a part of our country.

Soon, the movie will be out, and i can't wait to see it! Bali has been my 2nd home for the past few years, so the fact that this movie came out from a book that i love, made me even more anxious to see it!

Have you seen the trailer yet??

And as i was browsing around about Elizabeth Gilbert, i also happened to see this interesting/inspiring talk by her. A MUST SEE & TO BE SPREAD AROUND!

and hopefully you yourself will be inspired as i am. :)

"A different way to talk about creative genious"

So, risk it all and let yourself go. Hope you all have a lovely Tuesday!

Shoes + Fresh Plants + Michel Tcherevkoff = Shoe Fleur

At first I thought "Are these for reallll???" Yeah well, NY based French photographer Michel Tcherevkoff made it all looked possible by making these virtual shoe collections out of (only from) Photoshop! And they looked fantastic!

As Trendland reports, had a revelation when he saw a photograph of a leaf he had shot for a client, turned upside down on his table and thought it looked just like a shoe. He scanned the image, added a heel, and that became the first Shoe Fleur.

Apple.com also has a good description of his creative process of which I’m quoting a portion here. It turns out Photoshop is only one of his tools, and there’s a much more intricate approach to his original photographic content than you might think.

“I’ll take a leaf, make it into a sole, bend it to make a heel or a strap, then shoot it.” He works untethered.

After taking the pictures, “I walk over to my computer room and download the flash cards. Now, some art director might say that’s wasted time,” he says, “but for me it’s thinking time. I’m looking one or two steps ahead, getting ideas, making creative decisions.

Creative indeed Michel!

Thai-Foods!

Sawadee Ka!!

Okay so, we're not just experiencing good adventures around the many islands in Thailand, but we're also into the yummy foods Thailand have to offer. Start with the traditionally
Phat Thai, which you can find in any restaurants all around Thailand! My suggestion is, if you don't find the right place to eat, then you better order this, coz they're mostly good in every restaurant. If it's not, then you better not coming back there!

Phat Thai

If you're in Phuket, you HAVE to try these delicious noodles from a noodle-stall near Metropole Hotel around the Phuket Old Town. To order, just point the pictures from the wall, since most of the Thai can't speak English. -_-"

Also in Phuket, we found a good fried rice near the hotel we're staying.
Located in the Kata Night Bazaar, only 5 minutes away from the Kata Beach, Southern Fried Rice has definitely good prices for room and food. I'm loving how friendly the auntie who cooks and the Norwegian owner who served our meal.

And in Phi-Phi Island, we only eat at COSMIC Restaurant for 3 nights in a row!! They have the best food in the island!! Seriously, the 4 of us ordered every food they have in the menu and it was all GOOD.

Fish & Chips from Cosmic

Pancakes from Cosmic

Mango Sticky Rice - a must try!

Sunny Side Up from the hotel

To top it all, you have to get those Thai Iced Tea with milk. YUM!

Enjoy!

Back in Island Life!

Summer Vacay: Phi-Phi Island

Being just one day in Phi-Phi island made me tanned up effortlessly!
And after 3 days, I'm completely sun-kissed, i look like a local island girl!! LOL.
