Organic Beauty Review : John Masters Organics

Due to a late realization on how all my dermatologist's products are made of paraben, I immediately trash them out. So, in exchange to those, I need to buy some new organic fix for my fairly dry skin. I've been a constant user of the John Masters Organics clan since I encountered their amazing Lip Calm at Whole Foods back in 2009. That lil' thing had taken my dry lips to another level, and made me wonder about their other products.

Decided to bought the Rose Foaming Face Wash (which I adore!), from LoveLula for the 1st time and had this re-purchased from Sephora in Singapore. It smells soo good, and somehow it reminded me the scent of my favourite flower since childhood. Not so sure if it's from the linden flower/leaf or the rose. The gentle lather soothes & hidrates my face. It refreshes my skin, doesn't leave any tightness and cleans well. I love how John Masters Organics always use glass jar, although two particular thing that I don't like from this product is that it does not travel-friendly (on my last trip, the pump leaked and got all over my toiletries during a 19-hours flight) and secondly, a full pump of this, goes so deep so it will be finish in quite a short time. So I tend to press a half pump (which is already enough for my small face).

The next thing that I love from John Masters Organics is their Vitamin C Anti Aging Serum. I know that this might not be the best one in the market, but for now I'm quite satisfied by the result. I'm also loving the smell of this serum, which is orange-y or citrus-y, and the light texture goes so well on my face. At first i thought it was a bit pricey, but after a few months of usage, I still haven't finish this off. So it's worth the price!
Am I going to buy this product again? It's a big Y.E.S.

The last is John Masters Organics SPF 30 Natural Mineral Sunscreen which I don't like. I'm quite surprised by the failed result of this product since the other products have been very applicable to my skin. First and foremost, it does not moisturized my face. And it leaves white sheen on my face, which  will work when I'm at the beach, maybe? But definitely not on a daily basis. This also gave my face some breakouts and redness. So not gonna consider in finishing this or even buy this again. Although I might try to use this after I apply moisturizer.

Are you one of John Masters Organics user? If yes, what products did you use?
Any other of their products would you like to share with me? I would love to hear your reviews and suggestions.

Organic Skincare

Okay, so. Now i'm all about the organic skincare. I'm crazy about it.

Organic (adj.): 1.relating to or employing agricultural practices that avoid the use of synthetic chemicals in favor of naturally occurring pesticides, fertilizer, and other growing aids.

Though i've been trying to live my daily life as 'green' as possible, but it's hard for me to keep it going when everything surrounds you doesn't seem to go with the same green-friendly directions as moi!
Sadly i must say, that mostly everything here in Jakarta is (currently) still using plastic for everything.

So this is my top 5 organic skincare at the moment:

1. Kou Organic Soap

is made from Bali, Indonesia. I found this cute little shop down at Jl.Dewi Sita, Ubud, 2 years ago. Made of very yummy scents of organic flavours and flowery, with lovely packagings.
My heart is set on Kou Organic Soaps instantly.

Besides variety of flavoury soaps - KOU Premium Tuberose & Premium Rose White, Kou also came in different sizes and weight of Jasmine White/ Rose White/ Sweet Orange/
Vanilla Heaven/ Minty Green/ Lemon Tea Tree.

Kou's range of products also consist of bath salts, jams (yes, as in bread & jams), and sleepingwardrobes & sheep baby pillows. It's too bad they haven't got the website yet, but i still can get my hands on it by special order.

2. Burt's Bees Shea Butter Hand Creme

This creme had amazingly worked out for my dry, chapped hands!! I'm completely surprised how Burt's Bees Shea Butter Creme also made my nails doesn't easily ripped/peeled. You can get it from www.burtsbees.com or if you reside in the USA, just go to your nearest Duane Reade at the price $13.

3. John Masters Organics Lip Calm

Love this. Yummy lips with nice organic scent. I bought it from Whole Foods, in NY. But you can also get it at http://www.johnmasters.com/lip.htm for $6.

4. Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Creme

I actually haven't test this one out, because this product is still on it's way to my house being sent from Singapore yesterday. I shall give you the update about it but i'm pretty sure that it's gonna cure my crazy-dry foot since the hand creme worked out perfectly! Oh yes, and the nearest Burt's Bees is actually in Sephora Singapore! That's a shame. Again, for those of you live in the U.S. (darn, lucky you!) get it at the nearest Duane Reade or just visit www.burtsbees.com.

5. Burt's Bees Naturally Ageless Skin Firming Night Creme

'Nuff said about Burt's Bees, this agless skin firming is not gonna take overnight to firm my eye-lines. Although this product doesn't make the cut to Vogue UK's top 10 eye-creme chart, i'll try this one out! :P
