Panna Indiana!

Another great, intimate place to eat spices in New York!

Panna II Indian Restaurant has been recognized and recommended by Time Out NY Magazine. A very unique tiny place! With (yes, it is) foil covered walls, and low-ceiling full of flashing red chile pepper and christmas lights dangling, located in the heart of the East Village.

Despite the small room that fits the 5 of us and our foods, Panna II doesn't failed us to enjoy the birthday dinner experience. It feels like they're celebrating my birthday in this Christmast-decorated restaurant.
The waiter even put on a Happy Birthday song for me that night. So funny.

Panna II also has been made for the location several Hollywood movies such as Coyote Ugly. I would highly recommend Panna II for those of you who just wanna hang out, have some quality time with your BFF.

Booze in a Teacup

Had a wonderful birthday nite this year. My lovely bestfriends took me & hubby to this 'hidden' bar on our visit to NY. There's no signage or any clue whatsoever in front of it! The Back Room, located at Lower East Side, is one of New York's little secret. We walked in a dark alley with very few red lights on, which then i instantly imagined myself to be in one of Harry Potter's scene. When we got in, i'm so amazed by the classic Art Nouveau paintings & Victorian interiors, it feels like being in someone's living room somewhere in Paris! And i'm quite surprised to see all the drinks (except for the beer) are served in a teacup. Which apparently they want to preserve their ancestors culture (such a way for clandestine drinking) during in Prohibition era by having everything in a teacup. CUTENESS!

We ♥ Williamsburg so much, we just wanna move our ass off from our beautiful Indonesia, and stay there instead!
